MongoDB 2.6’s End of Life will be October 31st, 2016

A Notification from MongoDB Inc., on MongoDB 2.6’s EOL :

MongoDB 2.6 was released in April, 2014 (24 months ago) and we are approaching the end of life of this major version. We are providing six (6) months notice that we will sunset support for MongoDB 2.6 on October 31, 2016.

We encourage users to upgrade to version 3.0 or 3.2 as soon as is feasible (Upgrade MongoDB to 3.0, Upgrade MongoDB to 3.2). For customers who still use version 2.4, note that upgrading from version 2.4 to 3.0 will require an intermediary upgrade to 2.6. Please see the MongoDB downloads page to find the latest stable releases and begin your upgrade.

Information about the features in MongoDB 3.2, in addition to best practices around upgrading your version of MongoDB, can be found in our webinar.

Please open a JIRA support issue with any questions related to our documented upgrade procedures. If you would like hands-on assistance with your upgrade, our professional services team offers a Major Version Upgrade consulting service. Please contact your account executive for pricing, details and scheduling.
