MongoDB ODBC Driver (by Easysoft Ltd.)
Real-time, SQL access to MongoDB from BI, Analytics and Reporting applications
As part of our commitment to bringing SQL functionality to NoSQL databases, we are pleased to release a beta version of our MongoDB ODBC Driver.
Our driver allows you to retain the scalability and performance benefits of NoSQL with the assurance that your data is still easily accessible to BI, Analytics and Reporting applications that require relational data. For example, SAP Crystal Reports, SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau,Excel, QlikView and MicroStrategy.
The MongoDB ODBC Driver is available for Windows, Linux and Unix platforms.
The MongoDB ODBC driver automatically infers a schema by sampling the MongoDB data you want to access. Future versions of the driver will include a schema editor, which will allow you to edit the schema that the driver uses.
About the MongoDB ODBC Driver Beta
The MongoDB ODBC Driver is currently in development, and as part of our commitment to listen to customers, we would like to gather feedback from you about your connectivity requirements. We are therefore releasing a public beta version of the MongoDB ODBC Driver.
Please note that this beta testing release may still contain problems and is therefore not appropriate for production use.
MongoDB
Easysoft are bringing the power of SQL to MongoDB.
MongoDB is one of the leading NoSQL databases on the market today, and Easysoft have reacted to the market to develop a secure and robust ODBC Driver for this hugely popular database solution, and it is now available for beta testing.
Specifically developed to provide real-time SQL access to your MongoDB database, this beta release is ideal for connecting to your business intelligence, business reporting and analytics applications (i.e. as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Tableau, SAP Crystal Reports, Tableau, QlikView and MicroStrategy etc) as well as any other ODBC-enabled application (inc. Dashboards), adding MongoDB to your data warehouse/repository etc.
This high-performance Driver samples your MongoDB data to automatically discover your schema on the fly; further developments will include a MongoDB Schema Editor so you can inform the Driver exactly what your MongoDB schema looks like, ensuring a perfect view of your data.
This beta is initially available for Microsoft Windows (both 32-bit and 64-bit) and plans are already in place to release the MongoDB ODBC Driver on both Linux and Unix.
